Once a killing field, beaches are back alive
During the 90s through 2003, when rebel fighters and their warlords terrorized the entire country, beautiful beaches (such as this one in the photo) along Liberia’s coastal land were turned in killing fields. Now, with the prevailing peace in the country for nearly 18 years, many beaches have been renovated and are back into business and that’s because, “GOD IS WORKING” as the markings on the two canoes in the picture indicate.
