U.S. Prophetess makes passionate appeal to Americans to donate clothes for Afghan refugees

Prophetess Judy Fornara, senior pastor and founder of Spiritual Life Church in Brooklyn Center, MN Sunday, finished her sermon with a passionate call to people of Christian Faith to donate clothes meant for Afghans refugees who are arriving in the United States, especially, in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Of late, the U.S. Military has brought in hundreds, or thousands of Afghan refugees for resettlement here. Lives of the war-afflicted refugees have been threatened by Taliban militias who quickly moved in and took control of the Afghanistan capital of Kabul after the pullout of U.S. troops from the country months ago.
In making the call, Prophetess Judy observed that while it is good to donate stuff to the Salvation Army, she believed it would be more thoughtful and impactful if Christians could reach out to Afghan refugees whom she said, are mostly Muslims arriving in the United States for resettlement.
She acknowledged U.S.’s generosity all over the world especially war-torn nations, and pointed out that many Afghan refugees coming here are families who assisted our troops in Afghanistan during their peacekeeping missions and thus, Americans should help them in every way possible.
She told her congregation that the U.S. Military is currently housing hundreds of the refugees at their base near the town of Tomah in Wisconsin and that the soldiers had asked Spiritual Life’s affiliate Church there to assist with donations for the newcomers.
Dr. Judy’s Sunday’s message centered on “KINDNESS” and many think her message couldn’t have come at a better time than now. Perhaps more than anyone else, she understands what things can be like for people who are coming out of war, and with very little or no possessions at all.
Pastor Judy has traveled to more than a hundred and eleven countries, preaching the Gospels of Jesus Christ and has seen it all: a drought in Mozambique with countless dead; a rioting in Egypt, where she’s arrested but later released, for preaching in the Name of Jesus Christ.
In 1992-93, her mission led her team to the frontlines of Liberia where they shared the Word of God with rebel fighters of the belligerent NPFL faction, before making a journey to nearby Freetown, Sierra Leone, where she said, the Lord used them to do a massive deliverance of hundreds of people afflicted by demons.
She and her husband, Dr. Joseph Fornara founded the church, a seminary, plus the Spiritual Life Bible College many years ago in order to train and raise pastors from across continents who would later help to win souls for Christ as well as similarly train others within their localities to advance the works of the LORD.
That dream, no doubt, has been achieved to a larger extent through God’s blessing.
Apart from the U.S. and other parts of the world the church is involved with church projects, Spiritual Life Church runs several bible colleges in the Republic of Liberia; they are located in Tubmanburg, Buchanan and Monrovia.
The church’s seminary in Brooklyn Center has graduated people like Evangelist Rev. Dr. Christian Dagadu, a household name in Liberia, who runs his own church and deliverance ministries across the country, and Pastor Eugene Davis.
Others include SLC lecturers Pastor Nancy Sky, the college’s current dean; Pastor Claudius Cooper who has Gospel Ministries in both Rhode Island Liberia, and Pastor McNay Nkashama, a Congolese and teacher at SLC’s Brooklyn Center college who shuttles between the U.S. and Africa, often conducting crusades and pastoral seminars.
Spiritual Life Church this year finished its first newly constructed bible college in Monrovia (the first in Africa), located in Caldwell, Bushrod Island, not far from the former rebel INPFL military base of Gen. Prince Y. Johnson.
The school’s auditorium has a sitting capacity of about 400 to 500 people.
