Praying for rain in the Midwest USA
In some parts of the world such as the Republic of Liberia, the soil is so rich and blessed that seeds grow everywhere without going through a planting process. All over the land looks green and forests can be seen here and there with plenty of hills and mountains. The Most High God even deposited riches like gold, diamond and iron ore underneath the grounds. And there are big rivers too, with St. John and St. Paul as some of Liberia’s largest rivers. Besides, the country has in recent years received more rainfall than many think it deserves. Yet, Liberia imports foods yearly from the USA and China to feed its population because it can’t grow enough of its staple food which is rice to feed its people of around 3 million. (Thanks to late Samuel Doe’s Administration for introducing the “Green Revolution” that promoted self-reliance throughout Liberia). Conversely though, in the Great United States, particularly in the Midwest, there are many hardworking farmers who are praying to God for rain so their next harvest won’t turn out like the last, which was poor due to lack of rain.
