...Continues through March to five counties

A national Gospel crusade set to win hundreds of lost souls to Christ Jesus is ready and set to start hours from now in the Liberian capital, Monrovia, Liberia. Leading this crusade is Evangelist Rev. Dr. Christian Dagadu who would be assisted by other famous clergymen of the country.

Titled “Walking Under an Opened Heaven Crusade 2022” with the Theme, “Let My Destiny Live and Not Die,” this souls winning event runs from Jan. 10th to Jan. 16, 2022 from 5: PM to 9: PM daily at the Stephen A. Tolbert Estate Football Field in Gardnesville, Monrovia.

This year’s crusade features some of the country’s leading evangelists and bishops from other local churches: they include Apostle Samuel B. Carr, Bishop Shadrack R.A. Bryant and Bishop J. Allen Klayee as well as Pastor Dagadu’s own wife, Rev. Precious Dagadu.

“Crusade 22” is being hosted by Christian Evangelistic Ministries Inc. of Liberia, otherwise known as “CHRISEM” with headquarters located between CEMECO and Cow Factory along the Gardnesville Freeway Dr.

CHRISEM, founded decades ago by Evangelist Dagadu and his wife Rev. Precious Dagadu, has for the past 25 years spearheaded large crusades throughout the country and also Sierra Leone, winning thousands onto Christ Jesus, just about this crucial time every New Year.

According to CHRISEM’s leader Pastor Dagadu, the ministry has grown into 23 churches since its founding with at least 19 in Liberia while four are in neighboring Sierra Leone.

A section of the crowd at the 72nd 2018 crusade in Liberia listened attentively as local and foreign evangelists from the U.S. offered a general prayer over their lives, the nation and its people.

He told this news magazine a fortnight ago that the current crusade would last through March, moving onto five other counties in Liberia after the weeklong Monrovia launching events. He explained, this would bring the entire nation to a completion of the Gospel which had been CHRISEM’s dream.

The name “Dagadu” has become a household name in Liberia and beyond, very much so, associated with Christianity. Regardless of high financial costs that come with a crusade in Africa, particularly, Liberia, where many families and children still go to bed without a full-daily meal, Dagadu and his team seem determined to reach God’s people at all cost.

In January of 2018, for instance, this writer for the first time went on a tour with CHRISEM for weeks around Monrovia and saw thousands showing up, yearning for prayers at its Paynesville 72nd and Barnesville-Keba Communities events. Though these meetings or gatherings appeared quite successful, their financial costs were astronomical.

U.S. famous evangelist and pastor, Dr. Judy Fornara who has traveled to more than 110 countries worldwide winning souls for Jesus Christ speaks to the gathering during CHRISEM 2018 Monrovia Crusade. Dr. Judy, together with her husband pastor, Dr. Joe Fornara (not in picture) are the founders of Spiritual Life Church, Bible College & Seminary in the United States.

The situation was no different when weeks later; CHRISEM embarked on a nationwide tour of the country: they rented freight trucks to move hundreds of the church’s members as well as musical and other stage instruments to central Liberia’s Gbarnga for onward continuation of the crusade in the counties.

Like in the capital, Monrovia, a large platform was constructed (at least within 24 hours) at the site of each of these crusades in order to accommodate platform guests and stage equipment used to blast off the crusade.

In this 2018 Crusade photograph, platform guests seeing include (L) Biship Michael Cole of North Dakota, SLC’s senior pastors Drs. Joe and Judy Fornara.

When Global Ekklesia asked the smooth-talking evangelist as to how they get by carrying out such a huge task every year amid the hardship in the country, he laughed and said: “All is done through the grace of God.”

Editor’s Note: Though CHRISEM didn’t ask us at Global Ekklesia to make any appeal for help of any kind on its behalf but think deeply about the costs associated with these crusades and support their efforts to advance the works of God’s Kingdom.
