God’s wonder! See the town ‘sitting on a lake’ in Minnesota!

Howard Lake, Minnesota, has become a wonderland for its lake has become like a small town sitting on a big lake. Mobile homes attached to SUVs, and Caravans, together with sheds, all sit side-by-side on top of a frozen ice; incredibly, beneath that frozen ice lies a ‘small ocean’ that is Howard Lake. God’s wonder! Isn’t it?

At nighttime, there’s a flicker of light here and there, with people interacting with each other.

It’s a different type of game or sport that involves what some would call ‘ice fishing’ and brings hundreds of Minnesotans out during every winter to camp and enjoy the fun of ice fishing.

It is not just in Howard Lake this is happening; people do ice fishing throughout the entire state of Minnesota at this time of the year.

Ice fishing can be dangerous too, especially whenever there’s an abrupt change in temperature, something that has resulted into occasional accidents before, causing vehicles and equipment to sink into the freezing waters, thus placing human lives at a loss. /Photographs and text by James Kokulo Fasuekoi
