Executive Board of Liberian Ministers’ Association in USA installed into office

Members of the board, as well as executives of the Liberian Ministerial Association (LMA), were installed into office here in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, during the weekend; they are to galvanize activities of this reputable religious organization for the next two years before turning over the mantle to another ruling body. Most of those installed are themselves bishops, apostles and long-serving pastors of churches within the Twin Cities Metro, already with large congregations. They include Pastor Alexander Collins, Board Chair; Rev. Dr. Aquilus C.N. Ricks, Executive Director; Rev. Dr. George Wonlon, Executive Director; Rev. Zephaniah Kaffey, Bishop Julia J. Gibson, Dr. Sarah Kendema, Bishop Timothy Johnson, and Apostle Edward Neepaye. The House of Christ Assembly led a Praise Dance following the installation ceremony while Rev. Dr. Francis O.S. Tabla, Sr., conducted a special fundraiser and general offerings for the association. Bishop Dr. Darlington G. Johnson, the chief installing officer and presiding bishop for Harvest Intercontinental Ministries Worldwide, with over a hundred churches and schools, cautioned the newly installed officials regarding Biblical teaching. He spoke disdainfully of how he said, most of Apostle Paul’s “writings” have come under attack, more so, questioned from the “pulpit” itself and “yet”, he explained, “people clap for that.” “Why question it?” Bishop Darlington reproved those who are found to be in such a habit, saying that preachers should make sure “the hope doctrine we propagate on our pulpits is consistent with apostolic teaching.” As for the event’s guest speaker, Rev. David Owah Boakai, a Liberian Native who reportedly grew up in LAMCO Yekepa, Liberia’s main Iron Range, his message was quite short but blunt; “Stay charged Up!” he repeatedly told the officers, and at the same time citing servanthood and the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as being among key elements the new officials should work hard to attain.
