In the West African nation of Liberia, it is not so easy to get at least a dozen Gospel preachers gathered in one place for a church or Gospel event: Part of the reason could be because of doctrinal issue. Secondly, most pastors here find themselves extremely busy, trying to manage the affairs of their own churches.

Still, amid all of these, Liberia’s Christian Evangelistic Pentecostal Church Inc. (CEPC) of Rev. Dr. Christian K. Dagadu Sr. managed to organize a national crusade of prayers for the people and the Republic of Liberia, bringing together in years, at least 33 pastors and evangelists who will preach to thousands hungry for Jesus Christ!

This event is coined around the theme “LORD, I AM GRATEFUL.” It started Wednesday’s evening at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex, with an impressive attendance, and would last for three consecutive days, Feb. 18-20.

What makes this crusade more appealing isn’t just the number of bishops, apostles, evangelists or pastors participating in the event; it runs across denominational lines as Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran and Episcopal pastors among others, remain on stand-by to preach during the course of the 3-Day crusade.

Weeks before the crusade started, an array of pastors and bishops from various Christian denominations, appeared in a short social media video clip, asking “all Liberians and foreigners living in Liberia to come together to celebrate God and appreciate Him for His grace and mercy upon us as people of this sweet land of liberty.”

Also Tuesday night, Rev. Dagadu Sr. led other pastors in offering prayers and also consecrated the crusade grounds and the community itself, a practice his church’s pastors have carried out for over 40 years before any crusade is staged by the church.

The pictorial below, shot Tuesday evening, shows CEPC’s members, as well as technicians working to clean up, run electric power and set the stage for the occasion. CEPC’s founder and senior pastor, Evangelist Dr. Dagadu Sr. is seen in most photographs, inspecting work at the SKD Sports Stadium, Tuesday night.

The crusade stickers and also t-shirts of all colors and sizes are available on sale in a booth at the crusade site.
