This new generation of youths is on Fire for Jesus!
…they sing, speak in tongues & dance for the Lord

Of our numerous travels across the U.S. and Liberia in the last decade, youths have been found to be on Fire for Jesus Christ perhaps, more than any period in the church’s contemporary history; it doesn’t matter whether the congregation is African-American, African-immigrant, multiracial or pure White.
Youths nowadays, play key roles in worship activities-from participating in church’s Music Ministry (using Gospel songs to exalt the LORD), Praise dances, to hosting garage sales meant to raise monies for their churches or just for their own Christian youths’ future events.
And not only that, most, unlike the days of old, have in fact received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and can speak in “other tongues,” just as they are also capable of performing deliverance on themselves, peers, as well cast out devils.
If that sounds strange to anyone, he or she might want to read Acts 2:17 and Joel 2:28 and hear what The Most High God has said to His people: “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions…”
In the Twin Cities area of Minneapolis, Minnesota, one such youth groups deeply involved in the things of God is the J. Moore Band. Comprised of mostly young African immigrants from West African, the J. Moore Band is fast coming to prominence for its skillful style of using music to exalt God.
When the youths took the stage at the Potter’s House Christian Community Church in Ramsey, Minnesota, last September, their biblically-based songs took scores by surprise, touching many souls who join in singing the night away.
Apart from the band, there was also an array of anointed adults Gospel Praise singers as well as exhorters like Sisters Hagar Baah and Bebe Boateng. Other gest Gospel artists were Mins. Comfort Koon Cephas, Tracey Davies, Linda Phephe, Will Davies, Jusprince, Godwin Freemen and Pastor “Zo Bush.”
The event, organized by Power of Praise Music Ministry which is led by Min. Oxford Dixon, was staged under the theme: SOAKING IN HIS PRESENCE PSALM 32:6-7. It comes on twice or more a year.
For Min. Dixon, his music ministry events aren’t what many people think of them to be-a concert where ‘spectators sit and watch performers or artists.’
“It isn’t a show or a group. We don’t perform for people to sit and witch…,” he told Global Ekklesia, as he sought to correct the use of the word “Show” during a recent interview in Minnesota.
“Rather, we minister to people, touching souls through songs” he continued, “whenever we appear or minister.”
Minister Dixon came to know the Jesus Christ through his grandmother whom he described as beautiful and amazing.
