Winter accident on I-94 West in Clearwater

A serious car accident occurred Saturday Morning near Clearwater on Highway I-94 West, not far from St. Cloud. It’s not clear what caused it but weather conditions in the area appeared good. A highway trooper came on the scene following the accident, but it seemed the ambulance crew had not arrived at the time this photo was captured. Two adult persons were spotted from a distance struggling to reach a nearby Rest Area due to the freezing cold weather while the trooper checked with occupants of the second vehicle involved in the accident.
