At the celebration of its second anniversary recently, the Minneapolis-based Global Ekklesia announced it was searching out volunteer news reporters and photographers who would assist its publisher with news gathering and production of the weekly publication.

Addressing an audience in mid-October, consisted of mostly pastors and their spouses, diplomats, family members, as well as journalists, its editor-publisher, evangelist James Fasuekoi, appealed to faithful Christians worldwide to join him and carry out the LORD’s work.

“This isn’t about me… It’s all about Jesus Christ! That’s why we decided to keep the post of Editor-in-Chief open to the Holy Spirit Himself to occupy, while we stay in the back seat and work simply as editor and publisher,” remarked the Christian journalist.

“In fact, God’s work isn’t intended for one man alone. Neither can one person do it. So, we need some of you to come and help with administrative jobs such as marketing and so forth, while we deal with the journalistic aspect of the news magazine,” he continued.

The ceremony, a colorful one, occurred at Spiritual Life Church (SLC), located in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. In the audience also were Ebenezer Community Church founder/pastor, Rev. Dr. Francis O.S. Tabla; SLC founders and pastors, Drs. Judy & Joe Fornara, and Pastor John B. Saah, founder of Faith Chapel Evangelistic Ministries International.

Others were: Pastor Nancy Peterson, Pastor Christian Vincent, Pastor Lusienie Fofana, Hon. Jackson George, Pastor Joyce Cooper among many others.

The Global Ekklesia is independent and non-partisan. Its sole goal is to spread the Gospel of Christ throughout the world in such an uncompromising fashion that could help many know the truth and turn to the “WAY” (Jesus Christ-John 14:6) so they can be saved in the LORD.

Inspired by the publisher’s own family tragic story, at the height of the COVID-19 epidemic that killed millions of Americans, as well as worldwide, Fasuekoi first began publishing the weekly magazine October 6, 2021, from Howard Lake, a small western Minnesota town along Highway 12.

He listed Christain faithfulness, reading and comprehension of the Holy Bible as requirements for prospective volunteers and maintained his medium would train people in whatever fields they choose to work-from news gathering to critical news reporting, in addition to exposure of trainees to techniques in press photography.

An award-winning reporter, Fasuekoi is an experienced newspaper journalist, and for over a decade worked in Liberia (West Africa), for several national papers and foreign media, including The Associated Press.

He’s considered a one-man riot squad when it comes to news gathering and reporting and has single-handedly run Global Ekklesia news magazine since its inception in October 2021.

Editor Fasuekoi was awarded the Bush Foundation Fellowship twice in 2017 and was among 25 scholars selected from the 23 Native Nations of North America (including Minnesota, North & South Dakotas), who attended the annual Aspen Ideas Festival (AIF) in Aspen, Colorado.

AIF is US’s largest intellectual forum, staged in Aspen, Colorado. There, hundreds of accomplished educators such as award-winning journalists, artists, writers and filmmakers from worldwide, gather and debate critical national and world issues, offering possible solutions-from terrorism, war, to environmental degradation and climate change as well as terminal diseases like cancer and a search for their cures.
