WEDDING: OUR COUPLE OF THE YEAR 2023 COMES FROM LIBERIA
Young Teddy Tucker picks up the hands of Angel Dagadu
On December 30, 2023, Precious Angel Dagadu, 26, was joined together with Julian Teddy Tucker, 29, through Holy Matrimony before a jammed packed congregation in the Liberian capital, Monrovia. The ceremony, beamed-live across the world, via social media, appeared quite impressive. It all happened at the Christian Evangelistic Ministries Inc, located along Japan Freeway Drive near Gardnesville, a church founded and led by the bride’s parents. But there’s something so significant about this wedding: the couple are both young getting married, something people rarely see happen nowadays in Liberia and abroad. Of greater significance is the fact that they are God fearing and do participate in church youths’ activities. Hence, Global Ekklesia chose them as our couple of the year. Wedding ceremonies, including vows were conducted by an array of pastors-these included the young bride’s own parents who are themselves world’s renowned evangelists, Rev. Dr. Christian K. Dagadu and Pastor Precious Dagadu. In a world seems to be ever sinking deeper into greed, wickedness, and perversion of all sorts-where marriage has been re-defined outside of Bible’s, by some, a world in which scores of jobless, uneducated, and ill-prepared youths now have the audacity to rush at bearing children out of wedlock, this couple, Angel and Teddy, shall no doubt remain a shining example for other young folks at home and abroad, in years to come, writes James Kokulo Fasuekoi.
