Liberia: Hunger for Christ intensifies as ‘Crusade 2024’ leaves Tappita for Saclepea, Nimba

In one of his book series titled, “Thru the Bible with J. Vernon McGee”, the author begins his introduction with this statement: “The Bible is probably the most maligned Book that ever has been written. It has been attacked as no other book has ever been attacked.” What a true statement!

Unfortunately, much of Great America, a nation that once propagated the Gospel to the outside world, and whose founding is deeply rooted in the Word of God, is now gradually moving farther away from the Bible. Not only that; most states in the U.S. have established laws meant to asphyxiate the Gospel.

However, in Liberia (likewise much of Africa), the story is quite different. It’s not man-made laws that stand as hurdles to the Gospel in that people in those places appear excited about hearing the Word of God, and receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit whenever there’s a revival in town.

Rather, the real problems posing major hurdles to the spread of Christianity in rural Liberia are transportation, bad road conditions, plus natural disasters such as the sudden violent rainstorm that disrupted the Sanniquellie Crusade, ravaging their equipment, two weeks ago. Thanks to God, plus the resilience of Pastor Dagadu and his crusade team.

After a weeklong successful revival in Sanniquellie, one in many years, where the city’s officials presented gifts of fine African gowns to Dr. Dagadu and another, to be taken to his wife, “Crusade 2024” traveled to the county’s second largest city, Tappita, thereby winning more souls for Christ Jesus for an entire week.

On Monday, March 25, the team announced via social media that its convoy was headed to Saclepea, another city in Nimba, believed to be largely occupied by the region’s Meh and Dahn ethnic groupings, where the three-week tour is expected to climax, writes James Kokulo Fasuekoi.
